Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the ReceiptBox Ledger mobile app and related pages (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms and the ReceiptBox Ledger Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
1. What the App Provides
ReceiptBox Ledger helps you create and manage personal receipt records, proof images, reimbursement notes, and spending notes. Core features include Inbox, Ledger, Add Receipt, Reports, and Profile.
The App does not verify, guarantee, or certify the truth, accuracy, completeness, tax status, or reimbursement eligibility of information you enter. Records are for your personal organization only.
2. No Financial Services
ReceiptBox Ledger does not provide loans, credit approval, cash advances, repayment processing, debt collection, investment advice, tax advice, accounting advice, payment services, bank accounts, stored value, or money transfer services. Amounts, charts, and summaries shown in the App are based on records you enter and are provided for personal reference only.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for ensuring that receipts, images, contacts, locations, and notes you enter, photograph, or select are lawful and that you have the right to use them.
- You should independently check receipt information and should not rely on the App for reimbursement, tax, finance, legal, compliance, or other professional decisions.
- You are responsible for protecting your device, account, and login credentials, and for maintaining backups of local records that are important to you.
- You must not use the App to store unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, malicious, or unauthorized content.
4. Local Records and Backups
Receipt records are primarily stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the App, clear app data, reset or lose your device, or fail to maintain backups, local records may be lost. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of local records caused by device issues, system behavior, user action, or backup failure.
5. Sign-In, Logout, and Account Deletion
Some account features may require sign-in. When you are not signed in, the Profile page shows a sign-in entry and does not show logout or account deletion entries. Logout clears login status and tokens, but does not automatically delete local receipt records or images. Account deletion, after confirmation, clears account status, account-related temporary data, current-account local receipt records, receipt images, and cache. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Some server-side records may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or backup integrity.
6. Permissions
Camera, photo library, location, and contacts permissions are requested only when you tap the related feature. You may decline permissions and continue using available manual alternatives, such as entering a location manually, adding a handler name manually, skipping images, or saving a record without an image. The App does not request sensitive permissions at launch, does not use continuous background location, does not read SMS or call logs, and does not automatically read all photos in your library.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
- Disrupt, reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the App or related services, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Create, upload, or store content that infringes another person's rights or violates applicable law.
- Represent ReceiptBox Ledger as a financial institution, loan platform, payment platform, or debt collection service.
- Use automated means to abuse the App or related services.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may include or call third-party services and SDKs for push messaging, attribution, analytics, crash diagnostics, image selection, maps, platform login, or platform infrastructure. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for independent actions of third parties that we do not control.
9. Intellectual Property
The App's design, software, text, graphics, marks, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial record keeping.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will always be uninterrupted, error-free, absolutely secure, or that local records will always remain available. The App is not a substitute for professional finance, accounting, tax, legal, reimbursement, compliance, or other professional advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, records, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. This does not limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.
